Curriculum & Program
Our preschool curriculum is designed to be appropriate for children two to five years old and is implemented with attention to the different needs, interests, and developmental levels of the children. The preschool environment emphasizes physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative development.
Group interaction is the method used to enable children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, each other and the materials around them. We believe in a developmentally appropriate, child-directed and teacher-supported approach to fostering young children, allowing them to learn as they interact with the world around them.
The general curriculum is integrated with the Jewish curriculum and emphasizes Jewish values and traditions in a safe, positive learning environment where children learn empathy, respect, and self-esteem. Children are given the opportunity to play and learn in a safe, and nurturing Jewish environment that promotes cooperation. Our practices and curriculum promotes opportunities for discovery, sharing and social skills. The teaching staff creates learning experiences that enhance a feeling of safety, comfort and well-being for our children. Our staff also models positive behavior for our children and parents.
Additionally, we are a bilingual preschool and teach both in Hebrew and in English.
Our curriculum provides learning experiences that enhance a child’s sense of wonder, creativity and self esteem. The curriculum is developed to foster interest and involve our children. Through the medium of stories, music, art, movement and dramatic play, all learning and integration of developmental skills take place. The curriculum is always presented in an open way that allows the children to fully observe, create explore and participate where they are most comfortable. With this freedom, learning thrives.
